Four vintage cars were destroyed in a fire that engulfed four tent godowns on Main Mandir Road in Delhi’s Jaunapur in the early hours of Tuesday, according to fire officials.

Delhi Fire Services chief Atul Garg said they received a call at 1.56 am regarding a fire near the bus stand on main Mandi Road. Garg said the fire affected four tent godowns, one of which covered an area of 100 square yards and the remaining three covering an area of 500 square yards each.

Garg said the four vintage cars were parked next to the warehouses, adding that a cooling process was underway. A police officer said efforts were being made to identify the cars’ owners.
