JMI’s CDOE launches prospectus for 2024-25 session, biannual newsletter, YouTube channel | Education News

The Centre for Distance and Online Education (CDOE) of Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI) has launched its prospectus for the 2024-25 academic session, biannual newsletter and the official YouTube channel.

The biannual newsletter is named ‘The CDOE Post’ and the official YouTube Channel is named – ‘CDOE JMI Official’.

The JMI officiating Vice-Chancellor Prof. Mohammad Shakeel and Prof. Mohammad Miyan jointly released the biannual newsletter, the CDOE prospectus 2024-2025, and launched the CDOE official YouTube channel in the glittering event.

Officiating Vice-Chancellor, Prof Mohammed Shakeel was present during the launch as the chief guest, and former Vice-Chancellor of MANUU, Hyderabad, Prof. Mohammad Miyan was the guest of Honour. The chief proctor Prof Mohammad Shahid Khan, CPIO Dr Maqsood Ahmad Malik, and other officials of the university were also present during the launch.

Expressing gratitude, the CDOE Director, Prof Jasim Ahmed mentioned that the centre currently has more than 17,000 students and offers 24 programmes. He addressed the current challenges faced by the centre and outlined a roadmap to overcome them in due course of time. Prof. Jasim also sought support from both invitees for the development of the centre to achieve the objectives of the centre and the NEP 2020.

Festive offer

Prof. Mohammad Miyan emphasized the need to prepare in advance for future requirements to ensure the smooth operation of the centre. He emphasised on the collective responsibility to elevate the centre to the next level and noted that the Distance and Online Mode is enhancing the reach and popularity of JMI. Prof. Miyan also shared nostalgic memories of his time as the founding director of the CDOE, JMI.

Prof. Mohammad Shakee emphasised the importance of taking proper actions to curb malpractices in examinations, both online and offline mode. Prof. Shakeel stated that improving examination stringency would produce competent students and enhance the centre’s reputation.
