Even though Bigg Boss OTT Season 3 is inching closer to its grand finale, tensions are running high in the house. Recently, the situation escalated between contestants Ranvir Shorey and Sana Makbul, who have frequently clashed throughout the season, when Sana made remarks about Ranvir’s personal life, including his teenage son.
The controversy erupted during a task where contestants were divided into two teams, with actor-former VJ Ranvir and actor-model Sana on opposite sides. The task required one contestant to place their head and hands inside a setup resembling an ancient pillory, smiling throughout, while members of the opposing team tried to make them lose their smile.
When Ranvir stepped forward for the task, Sana made personal attacks, mentioning his son and failed marriage, which allegedly led Ranvir to give her the finger. “How old is your son? 13, right? And he is in the US. Why are you here then? You are more interested in the Rs 25 lakh than the trophy and you mentioned how you want to use the money for your son’s college. But Rs 25 lakh isn’t enough for that,” she said, according to the Times of India, prompting Ranvir’s reaction.
“You are on dating apps, right? How many dates have you been on? Man is hitting century and is still on dating apps; can anyone believe? He has a 13-year-old son in the US and is still doing all this,” she continued, the report added.

Following the task, Ranvir confronted Sana for bringing up his son, calling her a “gutterchaap” once again. Later, when contestant Naved Shaikh, the rapper, known professionally as Naezy, asked her about the incident, Sana defended her actions. “Yes I said those thing because I wanted to. I didn’t say anything wrong. I just mentioned his son in the US. I know everything about him and his life but the only difference between him and me is that he speaks and I don’t say a lot. He called me gutterchap, main meri gutterchapgiri or aagai toh he will be completely naked,” she was quoted as saying.
Ranvir Shorey was previously married to renowned actor-filmmaker Konkona Sen Sharma. The two started dating in 2007 and tied the knot in a private ceremony in 2010. They announced their separation in 2015 and their divorce was finalised in 2020. Following their separation, Ranvir had said that there was no one else to be blamed or held responsible but himself for their parting ways. Ranvir and Konkona, however, continue to co-parent their son since the separation.
The grand finale of Bigg Boss OTT 3 will take place on August 2 and will stream on JioCinema. In addition to Ranvir, Sana and Naezy, four other contestants remain in the house — Lovekesh Kataria, Armaan Malik, Kritika Malik, and Sai Ketan Rao.
